1600s - The Lady in Blue, Maria De Agreda On ocassion was supernaturally translated to the New World from the Old World to witness to the Native Americans about the God of the Cross. She could levitate in her bed while praying, saying that the only way to conquer gravity is through God.  Her parents converted their home into a church-owned house because of the high property taxes at that time in the Old World.

1863 to 1867 - Hermit's Peak, San Miguel County, New Mexico
Named for Giovanni Maria Agostini, born 1800 in Italy, was called The Hermit here. Miracles of healing by touch, obtaining water from a rock by touching it with his staff, and multiplication of stew feeding neighbors who helped build his home in a cave.
The West was a dangerous place to live alone and unarmed.

Moving to the Organ Mountains in 1867, Giovanni used natural herbs found in the area to heal people who came to him with pain.

The Hermit died a martyr here. He was found stabbed in the back on April 18, 1868, one year after relocating to the Organ Mountains.
